Cardcaptor Sakura Themed Story
Chapter 2: Missive Loss
(by Kasawa Lanford, added on 2005-09-27 09:53:10 AEST) [Discussion Topic]

Dream State

A young girl spun on her heels and brought her staff to bare on the person she was looking at. "Why are you doing this?" She yelled as she took out what appeared to be a Sakura Card

The man smiled at her, his eyes where full of fire and it showed that he didn't care whether she lived or died. "You are a threat to our plans... you are a threat to everything we stand for... you are a threat to our very existence"

She straightened up. "I'm just a kid! How can *I* be a threat to you?"

"You hold a power that threatens this world, and quite frankly, we can't let that power continue," He said and raised his own staff into the air, blue and red particle's appeared out of thin air and became to collect

"SHIELD!" The girl yelled as a bubble appeared around her. She continued to watch the man in front of her, easily 2 feet taller than her. "Please! I don't understand why you are doing this!"

"Children should bow down to those who are STRONGER! A child cannot survive in a world without a parent." He grinned, "Just like how you, without your father and brother, won't survive the coming change." His grin bore an oath of evilness that Sakura found unsettling. The man glanced at up at his staff and smiled, then aimed it at Sakura... and fired

End Dream State

Sakura suddenly shot up, breathing heavily and glancing at the clock. “6:30…..” she said

Kero mumbled before waking up. “Niya… what’s wrong Sakura-chan?” he said as he noticed the look on Sakura’s face

She looked at him, “I had.. a strange dream- perhaps a premonition dream?” she asked him, then shrugged and got up and walked over to her closest, opening it up she pulled her out her school uniform and put it on. Making sure she did it correctly

“Hmm… what did you see?” Kero asked and flew over to her

Sakura stared at the mirror. “I think… me? But… it didn’t look like me.. I looked younger, like I was 10 again or something?” she said confusingly. “but.. that’s impossible.. how could I be ten year’s old again?” she smiled briefly before leaving

Kero just floated there and stared at the door. “Your right, your 13 now.. how could you be ten years old again? Hmmm.. something’s odd about that dream.. maybe it was JUST a dream?” he asked himself

Sakura walked down the stairs. “Ohayo!” she smiled at her better. “Ohayo kaijuu” Touya grinned as he saw his little sister walk into the dining room

“I am NOT a monster!” she argued back and got a bit angry

“Could of fooled me, you where noisy enough during the night,” he took a sip of his coffee. “You sure your not a monster?”

“Errrrrrrrrrrr.” Sakura snarled but then stopped and turned around. “Baka….” She said under her breath

“By the way, why are you up so early?” Touya asked

She stopped and looked back at him. “Strange dream.. couldn’t get any more sleep so I decided to just wake up”

Tuoya just nodded and finished before heading out. “Where you going?” Sakura asked

“Work….” Touya said as he walked out the door

She stared at the door for a second. “At six thirty?” she asked herself before shrugging and getting her hat and putting on her skates, she walked toward the door and took a look behind her, before leaving her house and skating to school. She passed by Penguin Park and soon stopped, and remembered back to her Card Capturing days. “Seems like only yesterday,” she smiled at herself then looked toward the mountains, the sun was still coming up and the morning was cool, despite the dark cloud’s over head and the occasional thunder in the distance. “Looks like we might have rain,” she said before continuing to skate

As she came closer to the school she felt another source of magic, she hadn’t felt any in over a year, not since her and Syaoran had sealed Empty and turned it into Hope. As she came around a bend she saw where the sense was coming from, a man was standing near her school, he wore black long pant’s, a business type shirt with a tie, in my right hand was a clipboard and in his left was a pen, he was writing something down. Sakura blinked, and a second later the man was gone, blinking once more she rubbed her eyes, thinking she might’ve imagined it she just pushed the thought aside and continued toward her school

“Hey Bro! Wait up!” Came a yell from behind Sakura, she turned around just in time to be passed by a boy who was also skating, when he passed her he and her actually collided, sending them both to the ground and him into the wall

Sakura spun on her skate’s, almost hitting the ground before being caught by her brother. “T.. .Oniichan!” Touya looked at her, before dusting her off then looked toward the boy who had hit her. She looked at the boy and noticed that he was smaller than her, but that didn’t bother her. She walked over to him and helped him off the ground, “You ok?” She asked him

He stared at her, the brightness in her eyes, plus her face, struck him in the heart which started beating a little faster, but the growl from her big brother snapped him out of his dream state and into the real world. “Umm…” he couldn’t muster the words, but instead was helped by the girl

“Onii-chan baka…” came another voice from the gate. “You really are stupid… skating by here and not looking where your going!”

He rolled his eyes. “Stop acting all high and mighty, Misaki” he said with both hands on his hips. “Besides, mother told you to stay home, since it’s still to dangerous for you to be out while it’s still a little dark out”

“hupf… you still treat me like a little kid!” Misaki pouted and, with folded arms, took off toward her own school which only a two minute run

He sighed. “You will ALWAYS be a little kid, to me anyway” he said and looked at the girl he had been talking to before. “I’m very sorry!” he bowed. “My name’s Katowa Mas, 4th grader here”

Sakura smiled. “My name’s Kinomoto, Sakura… 7th grader”

Katowa nodded. “Nice to meet you, Kinomoto-senpai” He heard another grumble from her big brother. “Umm.. did I say that wrong?” he said and looked toward her brother, who just sighed and got back on his bike and rode off. “Did… I say something wrong?”

Sakura just giggled for a second before looking back at the young kid. “So, are you hurt?”

“A scratch here and there, but I’ll be fine thanks.” He smiled at her then looked at the gate. “Guess I’m a little early

Touya rode by his school before he stopped and noticed a woman standing there, leaning up against the wall. “I hope my little brother didn’t cause you any problems,” she said and opened one eye, looking at him

“How’d you know?” Touya asked, a bit startled

She smiled and got off the wall. “It’s… something I wont’ discuss, since I don’t know you but I do apologize if my brother made any mistake’s in his introduction, he is new to Japan and thus he’s not used to the suffixes you use”

“He was born here.. how can he be new?”

“Oh.. you knew that already?” She smiled at the young adult.“Still..”

Touya just looked away from her, then continued toward work. “How rude…” The girl said but then a smile creased her face. “Touya Kinomoto,” she pocketed his ID that she had stolen from him

An hour passed before the gates to the school opened up. Katowa was already putting his skate’s away when he noticed a girl was in, her uniform was a tad dirty but otherwise in good shape. “Who is she?” He wondered as he watched her, Sakura caught his glimpse and took a moment to look at the girl, she to must’ve been wondering cause awhile had passed before the two realized they’d been staring for over twenty minutes

Katowa hurried upstairs and to his classroom, he was the first one there, mostly due to the fact that he’d been at the school early. He got the classroom ready and heard something behind him. “Morning,” he said to a few of his fellow classmates, who responded back. “Morning”

The girl who they had been watching before was near his room, or rather, right outside the door. She had peered in briefly before a student tapped her on the shoulder. “Wrong floor,” the student said to her. She looked at her, first with freight, then she nodded and took off. Kasawa walked out of the classroom upon hearing the commotion. “Who was that?”

“A 3rd grader…. Wonder what she was doing here… or why she came to school with a messed up uniform.” The student wondered

“Maybe she’s abused?” Said a female student

Another female student shook her head. “Maybe she just couldn’t find a clean uniform?”

The two female’s shrugged before going back into the classroom and helping Kasawa clean it up a bit, they still had 30 minute’s before class started

Meanwhile, at the High School

Kasawa’s Big Sister was on the roof. She looked over the ground’s that stood between her high school, and her little brother’s elementary school. “Perfect place for a battle, if one was ever to come,” she said and looked around. “But if what I sensed before is right, it won’t be long…”

She heard a voice behind her and she looked over her shoulder, and smiled when it was just her two friends. “Sensei needs us” they said. She nodded and left

Ok, back at the Grade School

The bell rung and the student’s got in there seats, the teacher came in. It was Sakura’s 4th grade teacher: Terada.

There teacher walked over and did roll call, after a few minute’s he closed the roll call book and gave out an assignment: reading a book, which was something Kasawa liked and disliked

Either the teacher forgot to tell them to stop, or he just wasn’t in the mood today, for they had read for a while and it was getting close to lunch time. Finally the teacher nodded and told them to stop reading, soon the bell rung and the student’s left for lunch, all except Kasawa, something was bothering him

He walked out of the classroom and toward the stairs that lead to the roof, after a short walk he was on the roof and looking around. He walked toward the fence that encased the roof, making it so people could fall off; he turned around and spotted something in front of him. But a sudden punch knocked his breath out and sent him through the fence and toward the ground below
