Cardcaptor Sakura Themed Story
Chapter 17: Chapitre XVII
(by Arcademan, added on 2005-07-17 13:48:04 AEST) [Discussion Topic]

"Tomoyo. This is Eriol Hiiragizawa. I am led to believe Sakura is not
present?" said the young sorcerer.

"She went to another place...I really don't know...I mean..." Tomoyo
was stumbling to find the right words to say.

"Hey! Let me talk to him!" asked Kero.

"Ah, Keroberus. Nice to hear from you again. Please to tell me where
your mistress is? I sensed a great disturbance in the mystical
plane...along with the feeling of distress." Eriol had a sense of
urgency within his voice.

As Kero filled in his former master of the events that led to
Sakura's transporting to the other dimensional Earth, Tomoyo turned
to Syaoran.

"I am so afraid of what's going on...Sakura's in grave danger."

Syaoran put his arms around Tomoyo to try and reassure her. "We can't give
up on Sakura, Tomoyo. We'll find a way to help her. I promise!"

Back in the Arcademan Universe...

A hospital room...Sakura lies in bed after being taken there by
Parrillusia. Arcademan has arrived and begins to talk to the doctor.

"Hmmm...broken right arm, several cracked ribs...lacerations, mild
concussion, punctured lung...did she step in front of a runaway
diesel or something, Arcademan? wondered Dr. Chance.

"Yeah...something all right...named Destrux!" answered back Arcademan.

"I see." Dr. Ronald Chance wasn't a normal doctor in any sense of the
word. A brilliant surgeon, he is the official physician of the Arcade
Brigade, knowing more about them than they know themselves. He looks
at his instruments and then reads the printout from his computer.

"I see Miss Kinomoto isn't from our world. Her vibratory genetic
composition doesn't match the signatures that make up our genes here."

"Short words, Doc. In a nutshell, she's from another Earth."

"From what I can see, her metagenic structure stores vast amount of
self-generation ectoplasmic energies that..."

"DOC!!! Stop talking like a dictonary. Laymen terms, please..." asked
Arcademan.

"Okay. Her body stores magic. Those so-called 'Sakura Cards' are
actually living entities that feed off her mystic powers. They are
self-generating and even as we speak, she seems to be healing at up
to three times the normal rate as a regular person." explained Dr.
Chance.

At that moment, Sakura opened her eyes and saw Arcademan and Dr.
Chance.

"Where...where am I?" asked the young girl in a weak voice.

"You're being cared for, Sakura. You need to rest...regain your
strength so you can go back home where you'll be safe." said
Arcademan.

"But...I didn't stop Destrux. He'll return..."

"Not your concern anymore. I'm responsible for you almost getting
killed. I will not have your death on my mind. End of discussion."
snapped Arcademan. Sakura's eyes began to tear up as she began to sob
slightly.

"I'm sorry for snapping at you, Sakura. You saved Parrillusia and
myself and I'll always be grateful for that however this is my battle
and wish you no longer be involved in it for your safety." As
Arcademan held Sakura's left hand, Dr. Chance added a sedative in her
IV tube. She quickly falls asleep.

"Rest is her best medicine right now, Arcademan. I think it's best we
leave for now." As the two left her room, Arcademan turned to the
doctor.

"By the way, Doc...where is Parrillusia?"

"She dropped Sakura off here and then almost fainted. When I tried to
assist her, she pushed me back and disappeared. She looked injured to
me...no doubt from Destrux."

"Damn! I hope she's okay." Arcademan thanked Dr. Chance and flew off
in what was now an early morning sky.
